My Daughter The Poet

I happen to glance over at our coffee table today and saw three pieces of paper that my oldest daughter, Chloe had used to make into a medium for her poetry. I wanted to share with you the genius who is my daughter.

Depression

Depression is azure like seeing waves of tears flow down faces.
Also like watching rain fall onto my face.
It makes me feel down like I'll never feel joy again.

Love

Love is a crimson like the roses in a bride's bouquet and
also like one's caring for another.
it makes me feel happy.

Joy

Joy is auburn like dancing in a field of tulips.
Also like jumping in a pile of ginger leaves.
It makes me want to laugh and smile.

All by Chloe, my oldest (10 y.o.) daughter.
